For over 20 years, Darryl “Ankhenaton Amen-Ra” Beecham has been teaching carpentry to youth, adults, and seniors in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
Through his hands-on approach, he’s helped countless individuals gain skills, earn income, and change their lives.
With support from the African American Future Pledge $1-A-Day, we are taking the next step: establishing a Trade School in Brownsville dedicated to Darryl and his decades of service.
Trade schools in our communities will multiply Darryl’s impact—training people in construction skills like drywall installation and framing, and opening doors to jobs, financial independence, and community strength.
